Problem This pavilion located in Darenth, in Kent, originally held a foil faced felt that had began cracking and peeling in numerous areas, allowing for leaks. Due to the ornate beams supporting this unique roof shape, a replacement wasn’t possible whilst keeping the internal design of the pavilion the same.
Solution The team at London GRP Roofing decided to use Restec Roofing Systems to conserve this unique building. They removed the protective foil, and primed the felt, before applying our FLEXITEC Platinum system. FLEXITEC Platinum is our BBA certified liquid roofing system offering advanced liquid technologies to select Restec distributors.
Result Due to the British weather, installation of this unique roof was slow to begin with, as the team had to continuously dry the roof thoroughly before being able to lay any product. Following this effort, the system was implemented, resulting in a unique waterproof roof that will keep for many years.
